The Holiday season is upon us As always, it brings a swell of memories of past celebrations and of rituals from another time. Many of us have memories of coming downtown to gaze at the windows, visit with Santa, and marvel at the energy of all those big buildings, their windows bright in the crisp December air.

Through its rebirth, Downtown is creating the chance to revisit those old memories and while creating new ones at the same time. New shops have replaced old, and wonderful restaurants and cafes provide a delicious place to dine or simply warm up after strolling the streets to gaze at the windows. Exciting and innovative merchandise blends with traditional gifts items, and over twenty independent retailers are enthusiastically awaiting your visit.

Mixing the warmth of nostalgia with the energy of new and exciting businesses, we invite you to come downtown to shop, dine, view, and create new memories to add to the old.

Downtown Merchants Association (with the support of Union Station and the Downtown Saint Louis Partnership) is sponsoring two weekends of holiday activities. Free trolley rides will be available on November 30 and December 7 from 6 to 10 pm, and on December 1 and December 8 from 10 am to 6 pm. Many shops will be offering refreshments and other entertainment and activities.
